Atheists, how does one explain natural beauty if there isn't divine cause for its existence?
answers1: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
answers2: "Natural Beauty" occurs when the fundamental flaw known as
'christianity' disappears.

It's really not too difficult to understand.
answers3: I think your belief that there is objective beauty is
unfounded. You're existing in a mindset that's been created by
centuries of building a cult of natural beauty that culminated in 19th
century romanticism. If you will look around the world you will find
that the cultures that appreciate natural beauty are the ones least
completely reliant on nature.
In short, your "objective" appreciation of beauty is actually a taste
that's been created through centuries of civilization in some parts of
the world.
answers4: If you look at many of the great works of art which are
considered masterpieces of beauty, you will see that they adhere
closely, if not perfectly, to the golden ratio. Guess where that comes
from. Religion? Nope, sorry. Math.

You lose. As usual.

Oh, and to answer your foul-mouthed answer: math is a science. You can
try and define your way around it like you do with almost every other
word in the dictionary, but it's a science. The golden ratio is
generally considered to have been discovered by the great
mathematicians of ancient Greece. It was certainly not discovered by
the priests, who were too busy forcing hemlock down Socrates' throat.
answers5: I honestly think you're putting words in Biology's mouth,
and misunderstanding objectivity. I don't see beauty in the Alps... I
see a cold and inhospitable ******* climate. You're making a huge
mistake by assuming that other people see beauty in the same things
you do. And via that mistake, you've also bought into a fallacious
argument for your god's existence.

And one very important question protrudes from your idiotic reasoning:
why did your god make things ugly if beauty was the defining
characteristic of his creation?
answers6: We evolved to think nature beautiful, since it's our home
and we depend on it.
answers7: Bee cause it is NATURAL and not fantasy!

Science explains the big bang was not from nothing but from a
singularity that was all the matter and energy in the universe
compressed into a single point that then expanded rapidly!

So it was always here!

But why are Christians always claiming the big bang came from nothing?
Are they that ignorant? Did they sleep through school or is it that
they know the truth but think they can twist it because everyone is
gullible?!

Claiming something cannot come from nothing argues not against the big
bang but against creationists claims!

Recent research suggests the universe has contracted into a
singularity and then expanded a number of times!
answers8: First, everyone sees natural beauty differently. I may think
a flower has natural beauty because I like the color, shape, touch,
etc. when someone else will have a totally different opinion. To
answer your question though, like most atheists have said, natural
beauty occurs as time goes on. From the pangea, to continents,
formations of higher elevations and lower elevations through movement,
etc. But then again, this is from an atheist point of view and not
being disrespectful, but you probably don't get it since you believe
in something different.
answers9: So, you can't appreciate nature without saying "God did it"
That's a subjective opinion, not proof of god.
answers10: What is beauty?
"Beauty can be in a person or in an environment."
No. No, beauty is not a trait of a person or something. Beauty is an
opinion about something.

"But what is the beauty that man sees when he visions the mountains of
the Alps?"
Some see beauty, others just see barren rocks, dangerous ice caps,
deadly cliffs.

"There CERTAINLY is objective beauty."
Nope. There is not, because beauty is an opinion.
answers11: There CERTAINLY is objective beauty.
True Beauty..What is it? Does everybody have it?
answers1: I think that true beauty, is being able to admit it when
you're wrong. Knowing that you're not perfect, no one is, and you
shouldn't judge people. I think that true beauty is having the power
to be yourself, and follow your heart no matter what everyone else has
to say.

I definitely think that inner beauty is more important.
answers2: Both
answers3: True beauty is when the real, inner you shines through and
no one is looking at the skin and structure of you, but at the energy
of you.

Tell what beauty really is?
answers1: Having a perfect face
answers2: If we all could reprogram our minds to focus on the inner
beauty that lies within it would be an even better place to live. But
unfortunately Cassie, most of us cannot because we have been taught to
appreciate the outer beauty of a person because this is the part of
them that is visible and the eye-pleaser.....Beauty for me is when I
look at a person and see their soul speaking to me; beauty is when
that person actually opens their mouth to utter a few words, there is
kindness and love pouring from the essence of their spirits; and
ultimately I describe BEAUTY as something that reflects the
beautifully external part and it blends with the internal part and
they are in HARMONY with each other......Meaning: I can look like the
poster for beauty on the outside but if my insides are ROTTEN TO THE
CORE, then I really do not have the kind of everlasting beauty until
my insides are in harmony with the outside beauty......
answers3: Well, such as women... it is when a female has beautiful feautures.
answers4: beauty is someone with nice bone structure and nice features
you know when something is beautiful if it's something attractive and
nice to look at
answers5: That's up to you to decide... everyone has a different view
on beauty.. Some think you're beautiful by looking at your face or
body and others thing that you're beautiful because of your
presonality
answers6: I think beauty is where a girl is confident and has nice
features to her but doesn't come off as arrogant and egoistic.

qeustion about communication through body language, details below?
answers1: its alot more fun without words. My ex and I use to
communicate all the time like that. Nothing sexual at all when it
wasnt called for but just in general.
answers2: Both.
Not everything can be said through body language.
+ I'm a big talker and I say everything to my boyfriend. I thought it
was bad but realized he loved it. He says I make great sex phone and
he knows how to please me. He feels really comfortable talking about
sex with me, about what he likes, what he wants.
But I always pay attention to his body language too! I try to
understand what he means and please him with my fingers and tongue!
answers3: i think it depends on the situation, the time, and the place
answers4: Both.

No, wait, interpretive dance!
answers5: Body language or Kinesics, as it is properly called, conveys
much more meaning than the words themselves or how they are spoken.
The basic ratio is as follows: the spoken word transmits no more than
12% of the message, the stress and intonation conveys another
25-30%, and the remaining 58% or more is transmitted through body
language. Integral, personal, face-to-face communication, involves all
three simultaneously. There are many things that are expressed
involuntarily through body language. Some people can tell when you are
lying because you blink quickly and repeatedly, when you agree with
something being said because of your posture and so on. You've heard
the old saying that 'actions speak louder than words', well, it's
true!

There are many books on the subject. You can go to any mainstream
bookstore and find countless volumes on Kinesics.
answers6: People misinterpret body language all the time. Try using words.
answers7: it's proven that when a person's body language and rhetoic
are not congruent then the receiver of the message will go with what
the body language is telling them.
answers8: You actually do both, even if you do not realize it.

Women seem to pay attention to body language more than men do (hence
the idea of woman's intuition), so if you are talking to a girl, you
had better have a relaxed, yet confident posture (no slouching).

Body language gives away your true feelings, and it seems to be contagious.
answers9: Everyone uses body language. It is something that is very
difficult to hide. Ask any judge, cop, or anyone who has lots of
dealings with the public, they will all agree that body language is a
big factor in communication.
answers10: Talking.

In a room of people you see a girl who is drop dead gorgeous. You
make eye contact, and just as you begin to express that luring grin
that attracts women, a bee attacks you out of nowhere and you look
like Muhammad Ali sparing an insect. So much for body language.

when it comes to human body is it cool body or cold body....?
answers1: You should use--- I have a cool body.or you can say ---My
body is feeling cold.or I feel cold
When it comes to heat or hot--- you can say My body is heated up.My
body is hot,I am feeling hot.
It depends on the way you use the language and context.
answers2: It depends upon how long they've been dead.
answers3: Cool bodies and hot bodies have nothing to do with
temperature. They both mean attractive and are said as compliments.

If you are feeling cold or hot, there is no need to mention 'body' as
it's assumed.
answers4: by way of fact whilst the outdoors air temp is ninety
9°,we've the warmth Index which has the Humidity factored in.
certainly whilst the air temp is ninety 9°, it easily sounds like an
air temp between one hundred and five° to one hundred ten°
answers5: cool or cold both work. Both are adjectives that describe
the temperature. If you're trying to say you like the body in some
way that has nothing to do with its temperature, then you should use
"cool." It has alternate meanings that have to do with being
fashionable or pleasant in appearance.

Hot body works, heat body does not. Hot is is an adjective. Heat can
be a noun our verb, but it's not used as an adjective. Hot can be
used as an adjective that has to do with temperature. It can also be
used to refer to appearance, i.e. to mean "sexy."
