Atheists, how does one explain natural beauty if there isn't divine cause for its existence?

answers1: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
answers2: "Natural Beauty" occurs when the fundamental flaw known as
'christianity' disappears. <br>
<br>
It's really not too difficult to understand.
answers3: I think your belief that there is objective beauty is
unfounded. You're existing in a mindset that's been created by
centuries of building a cult of natural beauty that culminated in 19th
century romanticism. If you will look around the world you will find
that the cultures that appreciate natural beauty are the ones least
completely reliant on nature. <br>
In short, your "objective" appreciation of beauty is actually a taste
that's been created through centuries of civilization in some parts of
the world.
answers4: If you look at many of the great works of art which are
considered masterpieces of beauty, you will see that they adhere
closely, if not perfectly, to the golden ratio. Guess where that comes
from. Religion? Nope, sorry. Math. <br>
<br>
You lose. As usual. <br>
<br>
Oh, and to answer your foul-mouthed answer: math is a science. You can
try and define your way around it like you do with almost every other
word in the dictionary, but it's a science. The golden ratio is
generally considered to have been discovered by the great
mathematicians of ancient Greece. It was certainly not discovered by
the priests, who were too busy forcing hemlock down Socrates' throat.
answers5: I honestly think you're putting words in Biology's mouth,
and misunderstanding objectivity. I don't see beauty in the Alps... I
see a cold and inhospitable ******* climate. You're making a huge
mistake by assuming that other people see beauty in the same things
you do. And via that mistake, you've also bought into a fallacious
argument for your god's existence. <br>
<br>
And one very important question protrudes from your idiotic reasoning:
why did your god make things ugly if beauty was the defining
characteristic of his creation?
answers6: We evolved to think nature beautiful, since it's our home
and we depend on it.
answers7: Bee cause it is NATURAL and not fantasy! <br>
<br>
Science explains the big bang was not from nothing but from a
singularity that was all the matter and energy in the universe
compressed into a single point that then expanded rapidly! <br>
<br>
So it was always here! <br>
<br>
But why are Christians always claiming the big bang came from nothing?
Are they that ignorant? Did they sleep through school or is it that
they know the truth but think they can twist it because everyone is
gullible?! <br>
<br>
Claiming something cannot come from nothing argues not against the big
bang but against creationists claims! <br>
<br>
Recent research suggests the universe has contracted into a
singularity and then expanded a number of times!
answers8: First, everyone sees natural beauty differently. I may think
a flower has natural beauty because I like the color, shape, touch,
etc. when someone else will have a totally different opinion. To
answer your question though, like most atheists have said, natural
beauty occurs as time goes on. From the pangea, to continents,
formations of higher elevations and lower elevations through movement,
etc. But then again, this is from an atheist point of view and not
being disrespectful, but you probably don't get it since you believe
in something different.
answers9: So, you can't appreciate nature without saying "God did it"
That's a subjective opinion, not proof of god.
answers10: What is beauty? <br>
"Beauty can be in a person or in an environment." <br>
No. No, beauty is not a trait of a person or something. Beauty is an
opinion about something. <br>
<br>
"But what is the beauty that man sees when he visions the mountains of
the Alps?" <br>
Some see beauty, others just see barren rocks, dangerous ice caps,
deadly cliffs. <br>
<br>
"There CERTAINLY is objective beauty." <br>
Nope. There is not, because beauty is an opinion.
answers11: There CERTAINLY is objective beauty. <br>
<br>
~~~ That is absolute bullsh!t! <br>
And if you think that, you would be unable to understand why your are
so wrong. <br>
So, whatever... <br>
True Beauty..What is it? Does everybody have it?
answers1: I think that true beauty, is being able to admit it when
you're wrong. Knowing that you're not perfect, no one is, and you
shouldn't judge people. I think that true beauty is having the power
to be yourself, and follow your heart no matter what everyone else has
to say. <br>
<br>
I definitely think that inner beauty is more important. <br>
♥.blondy
answers2: Both
answers3: True beauty is when the real, inner you shines through and
no one is looking at the skin and structure of you, but at the energy
of you.
How do you personally define beauty?
answers1: pleasing to the eyes...
answers2: If that if your definition of beauty, then it is the beauty
I see, too. ^_^ <br>
Although, I think Cookies-and-Cream Chesecake is a beauty; and Treacle
Pudding with a splash of custard; maybe a few slices of pavlova and a
bowl of Ambrosia ...
Tell what beauty really is?
answers1: Having a perfect face
answers2: If we all could reprogram our minds to focus on the inner
beauty that lies within it would be an even better place to live. But
unfortunately Cassie, most of us cannot because we have been taught to
appreciate the outer beauty of a person because this is the part of
them that is visible and the eye-pleaser.....Beauty for me is when I
look at a person and see their soul speaking to me; beauty is when
that person actually opens their mouth to utter a few words, there is
kindness and love pouring from the essence of their spirits; and
ultimately I describe BEAUTY as something that reflects the
beautifully external part and it blends with the internal part and
they are in HARMONY with each other......Meaning: I can look like the
poster for beauty on the outside but if my insides are ROTTEN TO THE
CORE, then I really do not have the kind of everlasting beauty until
my insides are in harmony with the outside beauty......
answers3: Well, such as women... it is when a female has beautiful feautures.
answers4: beauty is someone with nice bone structure and nice features <br>
you know when something is beautiful if it's something attractive and
nice to look at
answers5: That's up to you to decide... everyone has a different view
on beauty.. Some think you're beautiful by looking at your face or
body and others thing that you're beautiful because of your
presonality
answers6: I think beauty is where a girl is confident and has nice
features to her but doesn't come off as arrogant and egoistic.
qeustion about communication through body language, details below?
answers1: its alot more fun without words. My ex and I use to
communicate all the time like that. Nothing sexual at all when it
wasnt called for but just in general.
answers2: Both. <br>
Not everything can be said through body language. <br>
+ I'm a big talker and I say everything to my boyfriend. I thought it
was bad but realized he loved it. He says I make great sex phone and
he knows how to please me. He feels really comfortable talking about
sex with me, about what he likes, what he wants. <br>
But I always pay attention to his body language too! I try to
understand what he means and please him with my fingers and tongue!
answers3: i think it depends on the situation, the time, and the place
answers4: Both. <br>
<br>
No, wait, interpretive dance!
answers5: Body language or Kinesics, as it is properly called, conveys
much more meaning than the words themselves or how they are spoken.
The basic ratio is as follows: the spoken word transmits no more than
12% of the message, the stress and intonation conveys another <br>
25-30%, and the remaining 58% or more is transmitted through body
language. Integral, personal, face-to-face communication, involves all
three simultaneously. There are many things that are expressed
involuntarily through body language. Some people can tell when you are
lying because you blink quickly and repeatedly, when you agree with
something being said because of your posture and so on. You've heard
the old saying that 'actions speak louder than words', well, it's
true! <br>
<br>
There are many books on the subject. You can go to any mainstream
bookstore and find countless volumes on Kinesics.
answers6: People misinterpret body language all the time. Try using words.
answers7: it's proven that when a person's body language and rhetoic
are not congruent then the receiver of the message will go with what
the body language is telling them.
answers8: You actually do both, even if you do not realize it. <br>
<br>
Women seem to pay attention to body language more than men do (hence
the idea of woman's intuition), so if you are talking to a girl, you
had better have a relaxed, yet confident posture (no slouching). <br>
<br>
Body language gives away your true feelings, and it seems to be contagious.
answers9: Everyone uses body language. It is something that is very
difficult to hide. Ask any judge, cop, or anyone who has lots of
dealings with the public, they will all agree that body language is a
big factor in communication.
answers10: Talking. <br>
<br>
In a room of people you see a girl who is drop dead gorgeous. You
make eye contact, and just as you begin to express that luring grin
that attracts women, a bee attacks you out of nowhere and you look
like Muhammad Ali sparing an insect. So much for body language.
when it comes to human body is it cool body or cold body....?
answers1: You should use--- I have a cool body.or you can say ---My
body is feeling cold.or I feel cold <br>
When it comes to heat or hot--- you can say My body is heated up.My
body is hot,I am feeling hot. <br>
It depends on the way you use the language and context.
answers2: It depends upon how long they've been dead.
answers3: Cool bodies and hot bodies have nothing to do with
temperature. They both mean attractive and are said as compliments.
<br>
<br>
If you are feeling cold or hot, there is no need to mention 'body' as
it's assumed.
answers4: by way of fact whilst the outdoors air temp is ninety
9°,we've the warmth Index which has the Humidity factored in.
certainly whilst the air temp is ninety 9°, it easily sounds like an
air temp between one hundred and five° to one hundred ten°
answers5: cool or cold both work. Both are adjectives that describe
the temperature. If you're trying to say you like the body in some
way that has nothing to do with its temperature, then you should use
"cool." It has alternate meanings that have to do with being
fashionable or pleasant in appearance. <br>
<br>
Hot body works, heat body does not. Hot is is an adjective. Heat can
be a noun our verb, but it's not used as an adjective. Hot can be
used as an adjective that has to do with temperature. It can also be
used to refer to appearance, i.e. to mean "sexy."
Body language?
answers1: Life is long learning process... there is no such
institution to learn this thing. You learn by living in it.
Different individual has different body language.
answers2: Body language could mean anything. And by it's definition,
someone who's paralyzed feels nothing and thinks nothing simply
because they cannot move parts of their body. <br>
How to stop sensitive skin from happening?
answers1: mosturizing is a good way to go, the key is to not let your
skin dry out. Use a mostiruzer that has has spf protection for when
you are out in the sun. Also try using a milder soap like Aveeno for
sensitive skin. You might also want to check out marks skin care
What is my skin type?
answers1: That description really doesn't tell me anything about your
skin. Does your skin always feel and look shiny? If so you have oily
skin. Does your skin have both oily and drier, tight feeling skin? If
so you have combination skin. Does your skin just always feel
comfortable- not too shiny, oily, dry or tight? If so you have normal
skin. Does your skin always feel a little tight and in need of some
moisture? If so you have dry skin. Any skin type can have flaky skin
since flaky skin is a sign of dehydration and you can have dehydrated
skin from any skin type. It is important that no matter what skin type
you have you're using a moisturizer to keep it balanced. Yes, even
oily skin.
answers4: Advanced Skin Brightening Formula was developed to promote
even skin tone while working to protect and reduce skin damage caused
by UV exposure. This supplement is an ideal way to complement facial
aesthetic treatments designed to reduce skin discoloration. When taken
in conjunction with these treatments, the Advanced Brightening Formula
helps to support the effects and healing process associated with
facial skin resurfacing. <br>
<br>
Expected benefits: <br>
<br>
* reduction of oxidative stress and skin damage associated with sun
and environmental exposure <br>
* reduction of post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation <br>
* support of the beneficial effects of facial skin resurfacing treatments <br>
* reduction of side effects associated with facial skin resurfacing
Clinical trials have shown that GliSODin supplementation significantly
reduced skin-reddening when healthy, fair-skinned volunteers were
exposed to UV radiation. <br>
<br>
GliSODin is a unique, non-genetically modified melon extract naturally
rich in superoxide dismutase (SOD), combined with wheat protein to
protect its SOD activity within the intestinal cells. SOD, also known
as the "enzyme of life," catalyzes our natural antioxidant defense
system, boosts immunity, and reduces accelerated aging. The production
of SOD decreases with age, causing an increase in susceptibility to
free-radical damage, and thus makes GliSODin an essential supplement
for the maintenance of good health and well-being. <br>
...makeup on a thirteen year old?
answers1: I dont think thirteen year olds should whear make up they
should at least wait untill they are sixteen. It dosnt send out a
verry good message to all kinds of people and they are some weird
people in the world.
answers2: At thirteen (or almost any teenager) a lot of makeup is not
a good look. At that age, appreciate the natural look of youth! A
little lip gloss, maybe some mascara, a little coverup for
blemishes... too much and teenagers start looking like child
prostitutes which is not at all pretty.
answers3: I started when I was 13, but I kept it very natural and got
a lot of compliments, so maybe you should try this: <br>
<br>
Eyes-soft colors of eyeshadow! Pastels-pinks purples and browns. No
eyeliner or mascara yet.... curl your lashes. Just with that, you will
have very pretty eyes. <br>
<br>
Cheeks-you don't need anyblush at this age! <br>
<br>
Lips-a tinted lip gloss... very suttle, nothing outrageous! =) maybe a
pinkish brown. <br>
<br>
Keep it natural, that way you are enhancing your natural beauty and
not covering it up!
answers4: What is "street makeup"? <br>
<br>
In general, I would say 13 is too young. In this day and age, it is
important to put controls on what young teens are up to; make up is
just one way to do that. I would, however, say that a small amount of
makeup is acceptable. For example, mascara, lip gloss, and cover up
(if needed).
answers5: Most people I know started wearing makeup when they were 14.
I don't see why the rush so soon. But if you do decide to wear
makeup, make it look natural.
answers6: i dont think your too young...im just saying that cause im
16 now and i started wearing makeup since i was 12...but i didnt go
all out like i do now...wen i was 12 i wuld wear lipgloss that was a
hint of pink and a little mascara cause my eyelashes are short and not
very visible...now i just wear my eyeliner with a little bronzer and
thats it...sometimes i put mascara on but w.e...just make sure u dont
wear too much makeup...just remember makeup is used to coverup or to
show more of a fearture...but if u start to wear a lot of makeup now
you will get pimples and it will clog your pores which is never any
good...just put some lipgloss on and thats all you need for now...
answers7: Well talk to a female adult it and if she gives you the go
ahead keep it simple and have someone who wears makeup (besides a
clown) show you how to use everthing if you are not able to wear
makeup lipgloss is a little shimmer that can un chap your lip and add
color!!! Good luck!!
answers8: Yes. They have such beautiful skin. The little girls are
maturing so fast these days I would not want to rush them along. 13
is too young for makeup. Maybe a little pink nailpolish but that's
it.
answers9: I did this, when my daughter was 13 the rule was this, for
picture portraits, special occasions such as school dances and other
formal functions makeup was acceptable, ( I put it on her, I am a
makeup artist) I had final say, and the look I taught her to do was
simple and natural and the key word is "natural" when she got into
high school she was allowed to wear makeup everyday. Of course I had
the final say and I don't think I have had to make her remove it at
all. Keeping lines of communication open is the key, the minute you
rebel you open yourself up for all sorts but a very important step to
remember is if you are wearing makeup, YOU MUST have a skin care
regime or by the time you are forty, you skin will be a mess. For
everyday you go to bed with your makeup on, your skin ages 7 days or
more. <br>
It is hard enough during adolescence with acne blackheads etc, so take
care of your skin and try to avoid dark dark colour on the inside of
your eye not good for you or your eye.
answers10: YES, far too young! <br>
<br>
A 13-year-old girl is not a streetwalker, so she should NOT try to
look like one. <br>
<br>
Most 13 year old girls are FAR prettier if they let the REAL GIRL
shine through and leave OFF the makeup. By the way, it is also FAR
better for their skin.
How do you remove your makeup?
answers1: i use the dermalogica precleanse (: basically it's an oil (i
know, sounds scary but its not, trust me!) <br>
<br>
i have oily skin, but this works wonders for me because the oil in the
precleanse attracts all the oil and makeup from my skin (including
mascara & eye make up), then all i have to do is put a few drops on my
skin, rub it in, gently wet my face and wipe it off with a
tissue/cotton wool. <br>
<br>
i would definitely recommend it :) best make up remover ive ever used!
answers2: i use moisterizer on toilet paper, vaseline on toilet paper,
or lotion on toliet paper. works really well (: or you can buy make up
remover of course. <br>
answer mine? <br>
<a href="http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq_CNm0emrRaA9r.OwcCE4rsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091019172921AAsWXuc"class=Clr-b>http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...</a>
answers3: Usually I'll rinse my face with warm water first to help
loosen up the makeup. Then I use makeup remover and Q-tip's or cotton
pads. Q-tips are more gentle and better for your eye area than cotton
pads (which I use for the rest of my face). And when buying makeup
remover I try to get the kind that are oil free to prevent breakouts.
There are definitely different ways to get rid of makeup, but this is
what works best for me. :)
answers4: I Use ponds too; <br>
but they're the wipe-y version(: <br>
it takes off all make up in one easy sweep(:
answers5: i use liquid eye makeup remover to take off mascara and eyelinerr <br>
<br>
then wash my face with dove bar soap to take off concealer, foundation etc.
answers6: i use these facial wipes from walmart its that equate brand
i get about 60 wipes and sometimes they have another attached all less
than 3 bucks :)
answers7: Wow, I use Pond`s too, I really like it! It won`t cause acne
don`t worry, LOL!
answers8: Use cotton balls or cotton pads with makeup remover lotion.
The best one is Almay Makeup Remover Pads for $5.95 at Walmart, CVS,
Walgreen, Target.
answers9: For all over face make up just use soap and water and put
moisturizer on after so your skin wont get dried out. And if it's just
smeary eye make up I'll put a little moisturizer on whatever part I
want to clean up, rub it in with my finger, and then rub it off with a
dry wash cloth.Comes right off. It's the cheap version of make up
remover and it works perfectly fine.
what makeup or hairstyle would suit me?
answers1: Since you have a clear skin tone with yellow undertones, I
would recommend trying foundations with a light bronzer...think about
m.a.c. (which is kinda expensive but worth it). good luck!
answers2: If I were you, I'd definately stick with Brown, grey, green,
and pink shades for your eyes. You can also use eyeliner to accent
your eyes. Put it on the top lid only. For your lips stick with some
pink, natural shades. As far as you hair goes, It looks very pretty
natural, but some cute pig tales and maybe even straightening some of
it every now and then would look nice. If you're looking to change you
hair, and I'd add long bangs. Hope this helps!
answers3: Get it cut to about your shoulders, or a few inches longer,
with lots of layers and bangs. Straighten it, too. <br>
<br>
Then dye it a dark chocolate brown. That would make your skin look good.
hair please help? sedu hair straightner?
answers1: It will eventually fry your hair, yes. You must use a
really good protective spray or lotion for heat styling to use with
the iron. I would suggest you just invest in a really good blowdryer
and round brush to give your hair a break every once in a while. T3
makes a good brush for straightening and Babyliss makes the best
dryers.
answers2: I've been straightening my hair everyday since the 9th
grade. I'm a senior in college now. You just have to put product in
before you straighten to protect your hair. Also don't go through your
hair rough w/ your straightner, be gentle. I recommend heat glide by
redken. It's a serum but definitely doesn't make your hair greasy,
trust me I'm a hair fanatic. One or two pumps of it and it's great.
It's costs 15 dollars, but lasts forever. Good luck! <br>
<br>
Also make sure your hair straightner is ceramic.
answers3: only use it twice a week <br>
and dont wet your hair <br>
i know it sounds disgusting <br>
but i started doing that <br>
and my hair now is soft and straight and not that damaged <br>
use a great shampoo (DOVE works like wonders!) <br>
and a heat protective spray only use spray! dont use the gels <br>
<br>
even though it is still the sedu it will still damage your hair ;]
answers4: Don't straighten your hair everyday! Always use a good
shampoo and conditioner and always always always (and i do mean
always) use a heat protecting product when drying and straightening
your hair. Also, NEVER straighten your hair when it is wet! If your
hair is really dry look into a deep conditioner.
answers5: I would say it depends on how bad your hair is now....I have
a Sedu hair straightener and i use it everyday and my hair is not
fried...but it does dry it out so you would have to use a conditioning
mask once a week to keep hair hydrated.
answers6: All Straighteners are a similar...it relies upon how long
you leave them to warmth up. yet straightening hair damages it plenty
as specially in case you do it on a daily basis, so use warmth
risk-free practices
answers7: use a CHI they are lke $180 but they like never brake, and
you can use them while you hair is really damp and it still wont fry
your hair and its better for your hair if you dont want it fryed
Which hair product is better?
answers1: Hair lotion and hair grease aren't nesicarily going to help
with breakage. You need something to strengthen the hair. Something
with keratin will help. Also, stay away from heat (curling irons,
flat irons, blowdryers). Try Chi Keratin Mist
answers2: Hair lotion is lighter on your hair and doesn't weigh it
down like hair grease. As far as hair breakage, minimize the amount of
heat, gel, hairspray, etc. that you use on your hair, wash and
condition regularly and most importantly, get regular trims every 6-8
weeks.
answers3: Taking Biotin every day can make your hair healthier so it
doesn't break as much. Also, Olive Oil and Honey can be helpful but
make sure you don't use too many moisturizers and conditioners because
they can be very heavy in the hair and cause even more breakage if you
use them too much. (especially if you have thin hair)
answers4: If your hair is breaking you need to do regular trims about
every 4-6 weeks. As far as using a lotion or oil, it depends on your
hair texture. If you have thick course hair go for both if you have
fine hair go for the lotion. You also need to be doing deep protein
treatments, less or no processing, and make sure you are using
something to protect your hair from heat damage.
answers5: Stop doing damaging things to your hair. That usually works.
answers6: Nothing you do will stop hair breakage. You can minimize
heat on your hair to help prevent it, but nothing you do will stop the
breakage.
answers7: hair masks are a total win the will add shine to already
damaged hair and minimize the amount you can see them. They usually
have a wide range of vitamins in to add extra strength and keep the
shine. The strength they add should minimize the amount of breakage
you have although not completely fix the problem. They also have
detangeling properties as over brushing the hair can cause the hair
and scalp to become weaker and unhealthy. if you currently use heat on
your hair, eg straighteners, curling irons and even a high heat
setting on your hair dryer, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, although it is
usually quicker to use heated tools it will damage your hair
incredible amounts. they are many ways to style your hair without heat
most of them include styling or pinning wet/damp hair and leaving over
night, much more time consuming I know, but it will defiantly help
your hair grow! also for days you are staying around the house just
tie your hair up in a loose bun or pony tail avoid styling everyday as
it will weaken the hair.
answers8: For the best hair products ,,go for king hair extensions on
kinghair,com <br>
and reni hair extensions reni.com <br>
and remyhairextensionshop.com
answers9: Honestly, if your hair is already dead you just want to use
something light on your hair. Hair lotion is lighter, but also do an
oil treatment every two weeks and do not use any heat for at least a
month. :) ALSO dont cut your hair every 2 months, youre getting rid of
dead ends yes but youre taking away from your length and you wont
think your hair is growing at all. so wait to cut.
answers10: Olive oil will help. It will give your hair moisture and
shine. Dry hair breaks, soft hair will break less. <br>
Comb light olive oil through your hair, especially the ends. Wear a
shower cap over it for 20 minutes. Rinse for a long time. Let your
hair dry naturally. Do not blow dry!
How to hook into accessory power source?
answers1: your wiring project is basic in basic terms splice into any
cord thats warm at the same time as the perfect analysis is turn or in
case you favor to hook as a lot because the lighting fixtures thats
high quality too yet its harder you may want to run from the swap
reccomended no longer the fuse block
answers2: usually a wire harness will already include a wire for the
accessory power. so all you'll need to do is plug in the aftermarket
wiring harness into your stock one, and then hook up each wire from
that to the corresponding spot on your headunit. <br>
<br>
If your harness doesn't have an accessory wire, then you'll need to
use a different wire. you should test out a wire that only gets power
when you turn the car on. for example I think I used a wire for the
power windows as an ACC wire for my sister's car. <br>
<br>
The ACC wire basically tells the headunit when to turn on or off.
without it your headunit would never turn off and drain the battery.
really good iphone accessories?
answers1: Your most important accessory is your case. There are
billions of them online at prices from $10-$1,000. Get one that
matches your personality and offers some protection. A screen
protector is also a must-have. Consider insurance. It available from
3rd parties. A car charger is a good idea. Bluetooth headphones are
nice but they can be pricey. The earbuds that come with the phone are
really uncomfortable. Consider a pair of skullcandy.
Who do you think sets the fashion/trend?
answers1: i always google "celebrity trends" there usually the first
ones to start certain fashion booms.
answers2: fashion shows are a great way of checking out the up and
coming trends but its easier to look through fashion magazines.
fashion and beauty magazines are usually a month in front.. so you can
look through the magazines now and see what trends are going to be in
style next month. <br>
you can also look on fashion websites too (:
answers3: Not always, it's a trickle up, trickle down thing. <br>
Example of trickle up: <br>
In prison, you weren't allowed to have a belt, so the pants were baggy
and low. <br>
Trickle Up: <br>
Pearls were worn by famous, glamorous movie stars, but all people
can/do wear them. <br>
It all depends on the fashion market, day at a time. <br>
Just look at years past fashion magazines, most of things repeat
themselves in a slightly updated version.
What jobs can you get with an associates degree in humanities?
answers1: An associates degree is really just a step towards a
bachelors. There are already plenty of people who hold associates
degrees. It is nothing special and is not enough for setting yourself
up with a reasonably secure future. You should continue on to a
bachelor's degree and proceed to a master's if you are wanting to
improve your job prospects. <br>
<br>
Consider your associates degree a stepping stone towards further study. <br>
includes art form, food choice, and religion. They really are
handholding mates. I enjoyed both.
What is the difference of philosophy with the humanities?
answers1: Today philosophy is a branch of the humanities and not the
reverse. This was not always so and before science became a separate
subject from philosophy the former subject was philosophy. But as
scientific thought became established and the methods of logical
argument about experimental facts become well known, philosophy
retracted into a more profound but smaller domain, where the kind of
ideas ceased to need any exact proof but largely became meta science
and belief. Thus philosophy ceased to dominate our understanding of
the practical world and became an art-form again and partly within the
range of humanities. <br>
<br>
Actually the science of some subjects like quantum theory is not far
away from philosophy too, so actually it is the difference between
humanaties and sciences that is shifting. There is a way of looking at
science as an art form, just as a beautifully mde artifact of use is
regarded as an expression of the art of making it.
answers2: The 'humanities' are a branch of philosophy. <br>
Philosophy parented many of the intellectual endeavours of humankind.
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and so forth also branched out from
Philosophy. Logic is another branch of philosophy which has impacted
how we think about and see the world/universe around us.
answers3: The "humanities" include any field of study relating to
humans - philosophy, art history, history, literature, etc. so
philosophy is one of the humanities.
What is institutionalism and how does it relate to art making?
answers1: Institutionalism is the theory that it is the art
establishment (museums, dealers, galleries, art schools) that
determine whether something is or is not art. Prior to the 20th
century, this was not an issue, because it was widely accepted what
was or was not art. However, in the current art market, where artists
frequently make art from household items (Warhol's Soup) or
installations from trash, it is the institutions who decide what is or
is not art.
answers2: typically people who are institutionalized are individuals
who have psychological disorders. often, people who have neurological
imbalances have incredible attention spans and also, a penchant for
the morose. the result is often a highly intricate work of art with
very somber and often morbid undertones. <br>
<br>
a great example of this is a man named nick blinko. he was a singer
for a punk band called rudimentary peni and was committed for a period
of time in the 80's. <br>
Is this a good definition of art?
answers1: Art, anything made as an expression of creativity or of
expressing oneself. a delving into creating or destroying. Art can be
in dance, music, architecture, textile, writing, etc. Can be made
using the right side of your brain (creative side), or the
left.(logical side).
answers2: Yes, it's a good definition, but I don't think it's the
right definition of art. These are the right definitions of art: <br>
<br>
1. The expression or application of human creative skill and
imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture,
producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or
emotional power. <br>
<br>
2. The various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music,
literature, and dance. <br>
<br>
Have a great day and I hope my answer helped.
answers3: It's an opinion. Art can be logical so; Art- The display of
the creativity from one's imagination.
answers4: Yes.
answers5: no it's not. because experience design or brand design would
then also be art. <br>
<br>
google for john christopher jones, he wrote many definitions about
what design is and also includes definitions for art and for science
in many of them, to compare. <br>
<br>
edit: art has the lowest penalty for error, while engineering has the
biggest penalty for error. several forms of designing are inbetween
those (interactin design is more in the middle, while experience
design leans more towards art). <br>
<br>
engineering is concrete, while art is abstract. engineering is based
on strict rules that have been written down, while art isnt, except
for some rules to define art styles.
Will I be able to get into art school?
answers1: Do not be so worried! I think its alright to be bad in a few
subjects. Coming on to you question, Arts is one area where you gotta
be clear what you actually want to do after 12th. whether you want to
do just BA or want to do some special arts course like performing
arts, visual arts, film making and many other options are available,
where maths is not important and can be overlooked by universities. I
did an arts course in filmmaking. It was a beginners filmmaking course
to explore the area of filmmaking from a film school *** film training
company Mark 5 Films (www.mark5films.in) it was a great experience and
I could fulfil my passion. Today am done with my course with Mark 5
Films, Filmmaking course in Delhi India. <br>
<br>
And let me tell one more thing that am satisfied as well as i was
pathetic in mathematics. <br>
<br>
I hope you would find my experience use full
answers2: Locations like calarts look at your portfolio greater than
your grades , they want talemted humans considering the fact that its
an art school but what your GPA suggests is which you can work good
and manage their work. I advise you are making an exceptional
portfolio in an effort to outdo the GPA. With 2 semesters left you
should additionally try to bring your grade up the slightest and take
many rt packages. Are trying for art scholoarships which is to your
ability no longer the GPA.
What major in college incorporates creativity, art and visual beauty into one career?
answers1: Film, Graphic Design, web design (though it's a bit more
techie). <br>
<br>
Here are some great articles about choosing your major: <a
href="http://www.unigo.com/featured/choosing_a_major"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.unigo.com/featured/choosing_a...</a>
and there's a LIVE free web stream on December 2nd at 7pm for
students to tune in -- the CEO of Unigo and 8 college admissions
officers talk about the new wave of college admissions culture. <br>
<br>
Try film editing -- that takes a LOT of creativity, art and visual
storytelling skills... and try to get an internship at theater
companies or promotional material design firms. <br>
<br>
Good luck!
answers2: Architecture, definitely <br>
Film isn't such a bad choice <br>
Graphic design
answers3: My first thought was Visual Arts, but that's not much of a
steady career. <br>
<br>
I'd say you're looking at Graphic Design.
If Writing Was an Art, How Would You Classify it?
answers1: No, I wouldn't classify writing as Visual and Performing
Arts because i think Visual Arts is like photography, drawing,
painting, graphic designs, etc. Performing Arts is like acting,
singing, musicians, etc. Writing is literature, so um... im not sure
what that would be classified as like for a school of writers or
something.
I Need Visual Art Classes!?
answers1: unusual concept. i'm uncertain what the 4th length in
paintings is. the three dimensions are top, width, intensity. it is
elementary to symbolize those in paintings. The 4th length the type
you're speaking approximately this is a few thing hidden or interior
some thing else. this is often compelling to characteristic some
secret to a portray so the viewer can ask: what's going to take place
next, or ask your self what's interior that. i think of of the 4th
length as being time and that would not exist till the paintings is a
mobil or some thing like that. Now that i think of of that, I painted
somewhat a pair of years in the past, a panorama, the place a
hurricane substitute into coming up, and the wood have been blowing in
one path. shifting air = 4th length. the outcomes have been
represented yet you may not see the air. in case you seem at most of
the cubist paintings you will see good factors represented at
distinctive angles. case in point a face finding forward with the
nostril seen from the left and eyes from the ideal. which could be
widely defined as a 4th length.
answers2: Its great that you are starting out early in the art world.
here are many schools online which offer free and paid classes. <br>
Just google search for free art schools and you will get lots of options. <br>
<br>
Of course, the largest and best schools probably wont accept your
admission because of your age, but there are plenty of forums which
you can learn from. You should become member at such places as - <a
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.deviantart.com/</a> <br>
Where all the young artist are showing their work and they also happy
to give you help in your design skills. <br>
If you are interested to learn fashion design, here is a good place to
start with free templates on design - <br>
Do you prefer to watch good acting, or bad acting?
answers1: Both, bad can be really funny.
answers2: I think that if the acting is really good, you don't even
notice that they are acting. My favorite actors are the ones that make
you believe that you are watching a real person, not a made-up
character.
answers3: definatly the bad ones they are hillarious. id rather hear
good singers not the bad ones, like...Sinjaya. Sinjaya is stupid and
is a sucky singer.
answers4: When I go to the cinema I expect to watch good acting but
when I'm at home I feel I can "betray" my good taste for a while in
order to have fun. A mix of both though isn't very funny; there is
nothing worse than watching an extremely talented actor next to some
super model who has suddenly "discovered" their well hidden acting
skills... Now, when it comes to bad acting on TV, I think soap operas
are a very rich source, don't you think? ;)
Are there any movie theaters in Jackson, Mississippi?
answers1: Mississippi does not believe in movie theaters, nor do they
believe in digital clocks or power windows/locks in their cars.
answers2: and no chicken in chicken soup
answers3: ya their is the northpatk theater, parkway theater, tinsle
town, and the malco grandview which is the best
answers4: Wow, there are some very stupid people on here... (being the
ones before me). It is true that Jackson does not have movie theater,
but many suburbs do. There is a theater in Pearl, Flowood, Clinton,
Ridgeland, and the newest in Madison. So just because the city itself
doesn't have a movie theater, doesn't mean there aren't options. The
fact is Jackson's suburbs are much more progressive than the city
itself, especially Madison County.
Drive -in Movie Theatres NYC?
answers1: yes
answers2: According to one website, there's a tiny one in Manhattan. <br>
<a href="http://www.grandopening.org/store/drive-in/"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.grandopening.org/store/drive-...</a>
<br>
<br>
There's also the Hyde Park Drive-in about 90 miles from NYC. It has a
single 82-foot-wide projection area and accommodates nearly 700 cars.
answers3: If you left the movie when it was over, then going to the
drive-in didn't kill your battery. I think it was a coincidence. The
type of radio you have only affects the sound quality in your vehicle.
LED Xbox 360 Playstation3 Home theater?
answers1: what home theater you are using and if it has a bunch of
inputs then connect all your devices to your home theater system and
then connect output to the only hdmi input of you tv <br>
hope this helps.
answers2: Look at an Onkyo HT-S3500 home theater. This is a 5.1
receiver and a set of speakers. You connect your PS3 and XBOX to the
receiver and then connect an HDMI cable from the receiver to the tv.
You also need to connect an optical audio cable from the tv to the
receiver. Those other home theater in a box are not flexible for
adding anything to them or for up grading. Demo the unit at any Fry's
Electronic and it sell for around $300. Hope this will help you out.
answers3: One HDMI input that's horrible but what model do you have <br>
Connect ps3 and 360 to your surround and output from surround to tv,
you will need the surround every time you use any of your consoles
Hope this helps
funny stories from theater rehearsals?
answers1: I have a couple. <br>
<br>
I did musical theatre with a guy who was a big-wig Senator (in Canada)
and went on to become Canada's High Commissioner to Britain. He was a
great singer, but he never took the time to learn his lines, so he
always made up the words. We never knew what was going to come out of
his mouth next and sometimes the play made no sense at all! <br>
<br>
We also did a show where the main character plunged through the stage
because it collapsed under him. He kept singing, half in and half out
of the stage. <br>
<br>
Great story from Canada's leading theatre - Stratford Shakespeare
Festival. Some kids were anxiously awaiting the results of a
Canada/Russia hockey game but they had to sit through a performance of
MacBeth first. Half way through, the star of the show stopped
speaking, glared at the kids and said 'Canada won. Now shut the *^$%
up!"
Are the magnetic poetry kits going out of style?
answers1: Perhaps the traditional ones, but my friends always
rearrange the words from a magnetic poetry kit I bought from The
Onion's online store. You can make hilarious fake news headlines that
are relevant to current world events.
answers2: We go through phases and fads over the years but words and
expressing ourselves never goes out of style. I never made great
poetry but great communication was gained with my children because it
can become an addictive game for the family! I like using words from
magazines and making my own words this way.
answers3: Yeah, I would say the fad has died out quite a bit. I always
thought they were just a conversation piece to laugh over every now
and then. Nothing awe inspiring ever came from it.
answers4: YES they have been out of style
answers5: That sounds interesting- what is a magnetic poetry kit?
answers6: I've never had a set of those but I've seen a bunch of them
at Borders whenever I go there. In fact, there's always a whole bunch
of them, either there's a huge backstock of those poetry kits or no
one buys those, I'm not sure.
answers7: I've never heard of them.
answers8: I am a pilgrim in the music world. I am a new arrival. Where
once there was merely grass, now there will be civilization. I'll go
beyond making biscuits for my cats and letting my husband do all the
outdoor work. I'll raise a yellow flag in a sea of red. I will give
pennies to the poor. I will write beautiful lyrics with refrigerator
magnets...
answers1: Imagery Poetry Definition
answers2: Visceral imagery in poetry is imagery the poet creates in
Visceral imagery doesn't paint a picture of anything, but describes
the writer's thoughts in a, dare I say it, bland way.
What are your comments to improve my philosophy?
answers1: That's not really a philosophy. But to add: we can know
it's causes and effects, it's purpose.
answers2: Oh my, very philosophical, yes indeedy: <br>
"About chair, we can know: <br>
1. its parts, <br>
2. its uniqueness, <br>
3. its connections, <br>
4. its sensitivities, <br>
5. its forms, <br>
6. its substitutes, and <br>
7. its uses. <br>
What else can we know about it?" <br>
<br>
From the last question are you stating that there is nothing beyond
the extensions of those 7 things to be known; or are you asking for
suggestions; or are you teasing that there is more, and that you will
provide it? <br>
<br>
After all, it's very egotistical of you to claim to 'serve up
knowledge', and then give us fluff.
answers3: Oh well... "Knowledge Server" huh?... :D <br>
<br>
In the first place, knowledge is information from the outside
influence while learning is from the inside. Between the two is
choices... <br>
<br>
So, in comparison to education, knowledge seems evil. :D <br>
<br>
I say, go on with it, we all learn our philosophy by numbers as we are
all aware of alphabet learning is a knowledge to share around... We
all need improvements from our learning that we may partake upon
knowledge.
answers4: I don't get it! Please give examples of how you would use it
to aid your critical thinking, or however else it is used. As it
stands I find it too abstract and impersonal to be inspired by it. How
do *you* use this? <br>
<br>
It seems to me to represent a very objective view of the world.. but
us humans are subjective beings.. so for me this seems to be
incomplete. Again I need demonstrations of how it is used.
Why was Zhuangzi's philosophy important?
answers1: read books
answers2: I don't know what you mean important. <br>
<br>
Zhuangzi was very influential on Chinese tradition and a more
articulate and engaging Daoist philosopher who used allegory and
sometimes direct treatise in his Inner Chapters. He is often called an
anti-intellectual, skeptic, and quietist, but I think his real point
was a reflection on the human condition... worldly concerns mean
little compaired to the universal cosmological principle of fluid,
ever-changing, unity. He understood not to worry about what is outside
of the human sphere of knowledge and power. But, I do not think
Zhuangzi himself would say his philosophy was 'important.' <br>
<br>
I don't know how he 'spread' his philosophy. He had followers who
obviously wrote down what he said... and more after his death who
attempted to continue his ideas. But whenever he described an
enlightened teacher it was usually the least educated and least
articulate. <br>
<br>
Zhuangzi is really good to read though, one of my favorite
philosophers of all time.
Into to Philosophy OR World Philosophy? Which should I take?
answers1: If you're sure you can handle World Philosophy, go for it.
It sounds the more enhanced of the two.
answers2: It just depends on how fast you want to trash your brain,
you can do it gradually or express mode.
answers3: are you asking me? eh oh dear. eh i would do the intro and
look at the self and then move on to how the self relates to the
bigger picture but thats just me of course
answers4: No Peace ... actual the Mahatma's morals are rather totally
above tiniest reproach and todays guy lacks the integrity and
braveness to persist with them .He grow to be unfinchingly righteous
and moralistic. lots that he could inspire people to undergo even poor
actual torture with severe staying power and entire ahimsa.It takes a
individual produced from iron to have faith and persist with such in
todays international. Mahatma Gandhi did that which he preached
inspite of each little thing and until this date he's abused by his
very own countrymen yet few others could have the affection for
morality, reality and the braveness So he's stated as mahatma meaning
great soul and it takes a great soul to persist with all tht
philosophy and great souls are uncommon Its attainable for an the two
rigteous individual- so its attainable at somebody point yet no longer
in any incorrect way- i mean no longer on a bigger scale.Todays
international is lots too full of decadence 4 that
answers5: Intro to PHI was boring. World PHI is a lot more
interesting, but is also more difficult than intro.
answers6: My preference would be Philosophy. <br>
<br>
Although World Philosophy looks more complex it really would not be.
Philosophy's skin deepens far further than in World Philosophy. <br>
<br>
Philosophy defines the nature of what you will be taught in World
Philosophy, only as said above deeper. This would reward you greatly.
Due to its roots you will then be able to, yourself, philosophize and
understand questions such as the meaning of life and death. Though you
may not philosophize as far as what they may have taught you in World
Philosophy, you could then simply explore that world by reading the
numerous philosophies written by philosophies with a higher level of
comprehension. <br>
<br>
Thus my choice stands as 'Philosophy'.
answers7: The latter sounds to have the potential to contribute far
more to your overall understanding and living life than the first,
which I have stidied.The latter gives you far more scope for academic
and lively debate grounded in `reality`, rather than debating and
moving around the pieces, of sections of highly commendable yet not
very useful theories. <br>
It depends also though, upon your own leanings, which modules other
you are taking so that your studies are well-rounded.
what was ghandis philosophy?
answers1: If you are giving a speech, then the first thing you should
know is that his name is spelled GANDHI, not Ghandi. He believed in
non-violent civil disobedience as a means of protesting against the
brutal rule of a foreign and racist government. <br>
<br>
Even though the British government murdered hundreds of men, women,
and children, in cold blood, for no reason except their personal
pleasure, Gandhi advocated non-violent resistance. <br>
<br>
There were thousands of incidents such as the Jalianwala Bagh
massacre, in which British troops casually and deliberately kept
shooting at hundreds of totally unarmed men, women, and children,
gathered peacefully, in a park, and the Black Hole of Calcutta, in
which the British army sadistically packed hundreds of civilians in a
room too small to hold them until everyone suffocated to death. <br>
<br>
Still, Gandhi advocated non-violence and eventually succeeded in
driving away the British from India using purely non-violent means.
answers2: NON-VOILANCE. must be the path of ................what ever
you require. thanks.
answers3: ...non violence permeates a peaceful, humble and civil lifestyle...
answers4: Gandhi's philosophy was to behave morally, and insist that
others <br>
do the same, even though you suffer for it.
answers5: You should already be familiar with Ghandhi's philosophy if
you're giving a speech TOMORROW! But, I'll attempt to help you anyway.
I'm not sure if you're talking about Mahatma or Mohandas, but I know
about Mohandas' philosophy. Mohandas Ghandhi's philosophy was NO
VIOLENCE. When he led the salt march to protest British occupation of
his country, he advocated fighting with one's soul and not with one's
body.
answers6: It is summed up in one simple statement: <br>
<br>
"BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD" <br>
<br>
You ought to rent the movie "Gandhi" and watch it. It will give you a
lot of perspective.
Philosophy In Highschool?
answers1: sounds like a bullsh*t class. should be easy like a high
school psychology class or what not.
answers2: You learn about people's ideas of how to think about things,
through the ages. <br>
<br>
You study the ideas of Plato, Socrates, Nietsche (sp.), Marx, Freud,
and other great thinkers. <br>
<br>
There's some reading & some writing essays, but it should be
interesting. It was easier for me than English essays.
answers3: Hi Daniel, <br>
<br>
Philosophy is the study of how people have thought about various
issues over the course of history. (The word comes from two Greek
roots and literally means "love of wisdom".) <br>
<br>
Philosophy is interesting and useful because it teaches us that people
have not always thought the way we do today. It gives us a sense of
perspective. <br>
<br>
Philosophy shows us how people have answered difficult questions, such
as: How did the world come into being? Does God exist? What is the
nature of God? Why do evil and suffering exist? What things are good,
beautiful, and true? <br>
<br>
Ethics is a subcategory of philosophy. It examines how to live well,
to do the right thing in a given circumstances, and why we should act
a certain way. <br>
<br>
Esthetics examines the nature of beauty. Epistemology looks at how we
know what we know -- the nature of reality. <br>
<br>
At the high school level, a study of philosophy will probably be a
general survey, not an in-depth examination. But the study of
philosophy does require you to think, to stretch your mind, and to
accept that there are many truths, not just one. <br>
<br>
Good luck in your studies. The world needs philosophers to think about
and find answers to the big questions of life!
My parents don't understand how much I wanto act and how much I am into the performing arts...?
answers1: They have your best interests in mind. They know that out
of two hundred kids who love acting and want to be actresses, one or
two will succeed. The rest will do community theater plays
occasionally. <br>
<br>
It might be better if you tried to convince them that you enjoy acting
in school plays and would like to have that as an activity on your
college applications. Tell them that artistic activities are a plus,
and that it's good to show that you can work well in a group.
answers2: The MAJORITY of youngsters want to do drama, but there is a
very TINY call for actors. I had starring roles in several school
productions, but didn't lose sight of reality and wanted my major in
college to be pre-law. Then I had a serious car crash and couldn't
remember that much anymore, but college had to take me back by their
own policy. Then Dad died and we couldn't afford THAT school anymore,
so I switched and changed majors to theater. There's a lot more to
learn than there seems to be. So now I know all that, but there's
still no work in theater. And it's not just because of this economy.
<br>
<br>
To help you some, though, DO study singing/voice projection. You have
to make your lungs and diaphragm strong to be heard in a theater, as
not all have audio speakers.
answers3: Acting is fun. I love acting personally. At first my parents
weren't supportive. I convinced them by dedicating my spare time to
acting and music. Any spare time I had I was in plays or at drama
club. I was doing research like crazy. I was doing all I could to just
grasp any bit of knowledge I could get. Luckily for me I have always
been a very creative and artsy person and my parents weren't all that
surprised when I started talking about acting. I've found something I
feel passionate about. It isn't something that I'm in for a few months
or years and decide "I'm changing my mind. This isn't fun" I know
acting will always be in my life. If you know deep in your heart that
this is something that you want and you're willing to risk a lot over
it than I'd say go for the gold and make your passion known. As far as
I'm concerned you can be the most passionate person towards acting yet
never set foot on a performing arts camp ground. It will take time to
convince your parents. You just have to show them improvement and
dedication... remember there is ALWAYS room for improvement. For the
mean time just have fun, act goofy, and do a lot of research. You may
change your mind in the end
answers4: You just have to stick at it and be very entuhsiastic. It's
hard to win support from others who don't understand.
answers5: If they cared about your dreams and aspirations, you
wouldn't need to convince them of anything. But one day, if you make
it big, you can bet your booty they'll be very 'supportive' indeed =)
In the mean time, maybe you can find a part-time job to finance your
way into performing arts camp.
answers6: Well, being in only 3 plays isn't nearly enough experience
for you to make any decisions about acting as a career. <br>
But I can understand why you want this, and also your parents' point
of view. There are hundreds of thousands of unemployed actors - it's
a very hard way to try to make a living and even if you succeeded, you
would almost certainly spend most of your life working in bars or
stores just to pay the bills. Most actors do. <br>
Without your parents' support, you'll have to wait until you're an
adult to get any training, but in the meantime, if you are serious
about wanting to act, read every play you can get hold of, read books,
go to a school or community theatre club or stage group and learn
everything you can. Singing is often required so join a choir or
singing group - dance is really useful too. <br>
Work hard at all your school subjects and get as many good grades as
you can so you can get onto a high school course including Drama or
Performing Arts, and also ideally subjects like Psychology, English,
Sociology, etc. Take an interest in everything. Then apply for a
drama school. <br>
You are looking at years of hard work, very little glamour, terrible
rates of pay – if any – doing odd jobs while you're auditioning for
acting work. It's not something you should even be considering unless
you're totally passionate about acting and can't imagine doing
anything else. You'll probably never be famous, or make much money,
but if it's what you really want, go for it. If it's just a nice idea
because it sounds fun and exciting and so on, forget it.
answers7: Good, first of all, hes young proper now, also, with kids,
you can't set your hopes up too high. I consider it can be first-rate
that you're encouraging him and so forth. But you have to let these
feelings of failure go. So might be your child is not doing as good as
you hoped. As long as he's pleased, then you are not a failure
whatsoever! In case you believe like your hopes were let down, do the
same thing you do together with your child, with yourself. Feel of the
entire positive matters he did/does, and then try to discover the
underlying reason why you feel this way. Do you consider like he could
do higher, however is somehow now not pushing himself as difficult as
he must? If so, maybe talk to him about investing himself a hundred%
on the subject of attempting new matters. Subsequently though, it can
be what your baby accomplishes and does the first-rate in that
matters, and now not what he doesn't do so nice it. Besides, hes 6!!
There is plenty of time for him to reinforce! Do not worry so early
on, he'll get better with time. Just take a deep breath and say "My
little one is doing the first-class he can, and thats what i should be
happy with"
How do I convince my parents that working in Performing Arts can be a good career choice?
answers1: You had better hope they know LESS about working in the
performing arts than YOU do. The ONE THING IS.. i's not a REGULAR
JOB.. you can go WEEKS or MONTHS between a PAY CHECK and to get THAT
you may have to move across the country for months on end. If you
want a career in the Performing Arts then go to a good CULINARY ARTS
SCHOOL and become a CHEF and perform on the side until you are good
enough or famous enough to make it in Performing Arts. <br>
<br>
I've been a professional musician for over 55 years and I have NEVER
known or worked with any other professionals in the Performing Arts
who did NOT have FOOD SERVICE somewhere on their C.V.
What counts as Visual performing Arts credits?
answers1: Looking at the UC website: <br>
<br>
f. Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) – 1 year required <br>
A single yearlong approved arts course from a single VPA discipline:
dance, drama/theater, music or visual art. <br>
<br>
It looks like to complete the F requirement you need 1 year, so just a
guess but it seems like you may need to take Photo 2 to be one year of
a single discipline. <br>
<br>
<br>
Go to this website, and put in your school name and it should have all
the courses at your school and if they count and what they count for.
<br>
<br>
It think this must be why at my son's private school they emphasize
that you will be in your VPA for one full year in 9th, so choose
something you'll enjoy for that whole time. They also go by semester,
but most classes are a full year. <br>
<br>
Good luck!
answers2: This would be different at every school, so you really need
to talk to your advisor about this. At most places, you could take
two unrelated courses to fulfill the requirements, but I don't want to
mislead you by assuming that your school has the same rules.
9th grade history and 10th grade history????
answers1: I was in American History for 9th, then continued with it in
10th. I'm now in 11th grade and taking World History.
answers2: Depends on your school. I took World History 9th grade and
American History 10th grade
answers3: World History and Geography first then U.S History
answers4: It all depends on your school. Mine had American History
9th and World History 10th. Other kids who had come would have to be
in 9th classes for American History because their school just had it
set up differently. You should go talk to your guidance counselor
about schedules.
