Veta Slicker: The Pagemaster (1994)Ten-year-old pessimist Richard Tyler (Macaulay Culkin) lives his life based on statistics and fears practically everything. His exasperated parents (Ed Begley, Jr. and Mel Harris) have tried multiple ways to build up the courage of their son, but to little success. Richard is sent by his father to buy a bag of nails so that he can build a treehouse. However, Richard gets caught in a harsh thunderstorm and takes shelter in a library. Here, he is met by Mr. Dewey (Christopher Lloyd), an eccentric librarian who tries to find a book for Richard and gives him a library card. However, Richard does not want any books; he just wants to cal! l his parents and go home. Mr. Dewey points the boy towards a payphone. Richard wanders off and finds a large rotunda painted with classic fictional characters. Richard slips on some water that had dripped from his coat and falls down, hitting his head and knocking him unconscious. He awakens and finds the rotunda paintings melting, forming a wave of color that transforms him and the library into illustrations.

Ellis Cellar: depending on your comedy you might like Ice Age or I Now pronounce you Chuck and Larry, Blades or Glory, Nacho Libre, Wild Hogs. Some good action ones are The Dark Knight, The Hulk, Iron Man, Spiderman, Hancock. Some suspenseful ones could be (depending on what you like) 28 Weeks Later, 28 Months Later, The Descent, Hide and Seek.

Gregg Hagge: this will, of course. vary from person to person, but i think escapism mostly (but that is also connected to relaxation and entertainment).i even prefer to see films on weekends, when i "escape" from the 9-5 humdrum of my workweek. top that off with the fact that my favorite genres are horror and action and, yeah, i'd have to go heavy on the "escape from life" evaluation.
Chi Alfero: I saw a piece of it today before I left for work. I didn't recognize any of the actors or actresses. The part I saw was a person in court, probably the defendant, had taken over the court r! oom and locked the doors. There was another convict with him and he was wearing an orange jumpsuit. The main guy knocked out the judge (her name was like LaRue Pattox) and took her robe. Then I had to leave Any ideas?
Patrica Loertscher: I looked up this character name "LaRue Pattox" on IMDB and it comes up "nobody found with that character name."
