Laundry baskets......?

Leif Andreason: My daughter used 2 heavy duty pop-up hampers with handles and dividers She hung the hampers from an over the door coat rack on the inside of her closet door freeing up some floor space Get a box of dryer sheets place a few in the bottom of each hamper to cut down on that stale dirty clothes smell.. Go with all powdered laundry products the boxes store more uniformly in the closet of your dorm than bottles of liquid and a powdered mess is easier to clean than a liquid mess should they spill.. If your dorm room comes with a sink think about making a sink skirt and you can hide the products under it... A quick and easy no sew sink skirt can be made with iron on Velcro strips and a store bought curtain.. For trips to the laundromat place the powders in 1 quart Zip-Lock freezer bags then place all the individual product bags in a 1 gallon Zip-lock to keep them together.. Slip the gallon bag into one of the pop-up hampers and go Look off campus for! a laundromat they will typically have better machines and less traffic so you can get more machines and get done quicker because all loads will be going simultaneously.. Look for a laundromat with an attendant they can give you a heads up about which machines work the best.. Read the instruction above the dryers most laundromat dryers are larger capacity than the washers allowing you to place 2 washer loads in each dryer... Just pay attention to clothing weights, lighter weight loads together heavier weight loads together.. The lighter weight load will be dry first allowing you to fold it and place it back in the hampers for transport home the heavier weight load will be dry about the time you are done folding the lighter weight load and you can move on to folding it and be done.....Show more

Kris Bozelle: pop up canvas bags. the cheap ones are convenient but can rip if too heavy. Kohls.com may have some heavy canvas bags with handles. You may not need th! e "pop up" feature if you bag is full it should stand up on it! s own. Keep it in the closet so its not taking up space in the dorm room.

Donte Liversedge: I have a rolling laundry basket with a tall handle that can be found at walmart for 14 bucks. Buy a nice laundry backpack that is not real cheap so it will last.:)

Dannie Briseno: There are woven fabric baskets that collapse that you can get at Amazon or Target or Walmart. They come in nice colors, too. When you are done with your laundry you can collapse it and stick it under the bed! Here's one from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Bajer-Deisgn-Pop-Open-Laundr...

Robbie Starchman: Earlier than I left my laundry basket in my closet (I had a massive one), my husband though, sweats a lot and i began noticing that it was once stinking up the entire closet. I have no idea about you but i don't wish to smell like a dirty guy after I exit or to work. Then I thought there was once a lot of room within the toilets for the laundry baskets. First challenge with that's in the ev! ent you choose to use the nicer more pricey wicker (and get them lined) baskets, you're going to study that humidity and unfinished or even flippantly finished wooden don't go together. 2d downfall to that is, somehow regardless of how normally you tell them, something saturated with water will probably be put in the laundry basket. I am pretty good at keeping up with my laundry but even still, mildew is gross to me! On to the laundry room, I had a basket there (as you could tell, my laundry baskets journey round so much), I observed that this used to be only a bit too inconvenient for every person. Although yours won't, my laundry room is by our storage and now not our bedrooms or bathrooms. It looked as if it would me that I used to be picking up clothes from the bedrooms extra so from the laundry basket. So with all this being stated, you ought to be questioning where i ended up putting the laundry basket.... It's within the bedrooms. New lined wicker basket placed by me! ans of the bedroom door. Easy for me to prefer up and easier for them t! o get all of their clothes in the basket....Show more
