Can I transfer a recording from a Comcast DVR to my laptop that has a HD DVD RW??

Judie Kise: Hi Alana,On most DVRs the USB port isn't activated.If you have a stand alone DVD recorder you can connect the output of your DVR to it.If you want to do it on your computer you need an interface like DVD Xpress.With DVD Xpress you can transfer your video to your hard drive and then edit it if you desire. DVD Xpress comes with basic video editing software. I got mine at Sam's for $59.95. I saw a newer model at WalMart recently. It was the DVD Xpress2. I think it was $39.95 but I am not positive.
