Will reading as a hobby die or survive in the future?

Wilbur Marksberry: survive, i believe, but us readers may be seen as somewhat old fashioned.

Garrett Detone: It will survive, at least I hope it will.TV for the most part is useless, and commonly called the "idiot box" for good reason.Reading won't simply end, there is no way for that to be possible.

Davis Zou: survive

Avis Brantner: It will survive as it always has. Someone will do a study telling the world that no one reads anymore and the world is going to hell but in the end it will be about the same. In the last four months I have read a hundred books or more. I will make up for those that don't read.

Jannette Kotz: YESSSS its already dead!or were you born yesterday?its oldits READING?!?!?! -_-it hurts ur eyesuse a computeruse your phone or iphoneyou could do better....Show more

Colby Millberg: Definately survive... although the actual paper book will fall in popularity, possibly replaced by E-Books and their PDAs and readers, as well! as magazines falling to blogs and internet boards.

Jesusita Dykhoff: Yes it will be

Cyndy Grimes: survive for sure.i love reading, and now a days the authors are really appealing to their readers. for example Stephenie Meyer has had a HUGE success with the Twilight saga. She has made Edward Cullen the prince charming of today. Her teen aged readers really do enjoy the books and then read them over again and again!(I my self have read the series three time, plus whats posted of Midnight Sun :P)...Show more

Ronnie Barcus: Yes, I am reading your question right now and I am responding. I read blogs all the time. It is interesting to read what others are thinking and feeling.

Mitsuko Manne: i think it will survive but there will be more virtual books like the 20 classic books for the nintendo ds

Raye Tredennick: i hope it survives, i love technology but i wouldnt want the world over run by it

Andra Oger: it'd survive, there's a physiological ! need instilled in each of us to read now and it'll in future..! .

Justin Casten: survive and thrive.

Lonnie Jehle: die, the robots will make up stories and tell us in the future

Ervin Laeger: more than likely die ... i am 16 and i hardly know anyone now that actually does read just for fun ... and i also think as we progress in technology we will have a machine or something read the book to us instead ...vote me as best answer please ty

Dale Mccoun: Def. survive. Look at the Kindle thingy; it's already evolving to meet busy peeps' needs.

Jed Mutone: Die, Epicly die.
