Cierra Gadbaw: If you don't mind spending $750.00 give a serious consideration to the Onkyo HT-S990THX. This is the only home theater in a box that is THX certified. All you have to do is pick up one of the speakers in this system, then pick up a speaker from another HTIB system and you will see the difference. Do not go with bose. It is over priced. If you want to spend about $500.00 consider the Onkyo HT-SR800. This system was the top recommended HTIB by consumer reports last month. Good luck....Show more
Germaine Tieken: I think you should let your son pick out something small for the 9 yr old and the 6 yr old. ... Take him to the dollar store or down the 88 cent isle at walmart. And/or give them a card with a picture of their baby brother in it. You are right - it is important to help the brothers bond. Even if their mom doesn't understand, you should still do your part. Just don't go overboard and don't spend more than you can afford.
Marvel Mcaula! y: First off, he's your son. Why go out and spend big bucks on an expensive system when he's only going to be there for ?? years. Get a good receiver and a moderate set of speakers. It will be good enough for gaming and what the hell ever he will be doing. for your solution, Best Buy or circuit City will be fine. Don't kill yourself over this. Depending on his age, he'll be to busy chasing chicks in no time at all anyway.
Hilde Heskett: I would go to Circuit City & ask someone.... but Bose is the absolute best.
Lupe Sancen: I have JVC for my room. It's awesome. If its just a small room get that. But if its like a living room type then get a yamaha or sony. For a room it doesn't have to be anything special. Buy it at PC Richards thats where We got ours and they will tell you. You shouldnt have to pay over 400 for a decent one. Any home theater system will hook up to all of that. I have all that hooked up too mine.
Scot Rotruck: Onkyo, Denon and Yamah! a have some nice HTiBstay away from bose there is nothing wors! e for the priceA $1K blose compares nicely with a $200 panasonic
Lawana Neemann: It really depends on your budget... Yopu get what you pay for $500 for a set in a box is only OK... I spent $600 on Yamaha receiver and anther 1300% on mey JBL speakers... Also how big of a room are you using it for? Try this.....http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/index.phpGood Luck...Show more
